I already told you once: Jotaro is a much kinder person than I am. Understanding is one thing, forgiving is another. And I'm not very experienced with the latter, but I know that if someone went around telling my secrets I would either kill them or just be relieved to know that someone else thought that was a terrible thing to do.

I don't understand or forgive, usually. I just want to hurt the person who's hurt me.

If someone hurt my family or you I'd hurt them very badly. If someone hurt Jojo I'd kill them. I don't know how to be any kinder than that.

But going for revenge on the last person who hurt me like that is how I got here. So I'm left wondering if there's a line after 'I won't forgive them' and 'outright murder'.

Did you know that Japanese actually condenses 'I won't forgive you' into one word?

Yurusenai is 'I can't forgive you'. Yurusanai is 'I won't forgive you.' The first is written 許せない and the latter is 許さない.

One could also translate it as I can't/won't allow this', but the distinction isn't always a necessary one.

It can be a very efficient language, even if I hear it's not an easy one to pick up. A lot of written Japanese is complex, and the same characters can be read entirely different ways.

Right. I never got that far. I was working. And they didn't offer Japanese anyway. Still, I don't think I would have been very good at it.
