Usually what I come up with is, if I don't really know the person I say I'm fighting for, the way that I ought to, then I'm lying to myself if I say I'm doing it for them. It feels different fighting for an idea than it does to fight for someone you care about, and both of those are different than fighting for the sake of needing to fight.

Hamon is for battle. A fight is for fighting.

People here have magic. Maybe they would call Hamon magic, too, but I wouldn't. It's just a skill you can learn.

There are people here who have something that isn't a skill, though, it's just a part of them. Magic or other things. Kakyoin has that, and a boy I met named Josuke has that too. I think they're different but I haven't seen Kakyoin's yet. He was having trouble with training, but I think I can help if he can't figure it out himself.

Yes.

But mostly to my mom. He and I were trying to fix it.

Kakyoin didn't tell me that. He said there was a common enemy and he had to fight him and he died. He didn't say anything bad happened to Jojo or Holly.

We're...pretty careful about not telling stories that aren't ours to tell. I wouldn't have told you he'd died if he hadn't already done it himself.

So. What happened was, when that enemy got his...magic power, all of the Joestars did too. Jiji got his, and I got mine, and Mom got hers. But they're all different. Mom's...was like a parasite. It would've killed her if we didn't get the guy that all of our powers stemmed from.

It helped that he also wanted all of us dead anyway, so it wasn't like we weren't provoked, or he didn't deserve it.

Anyway. Jiji had a grudge against the enemy we were fighting. Above and beyond just the thing with my mom. He got hurt fighting him, in the end. I had to finish it on my own.

He's okay. He and Mom are both okay now, Jiji's with me and I think Mom said Grandma Suzie went to stay with her in Japan. We...get to go home. Some of the people who went with us, like Kakyoin...
